How We Work

A renovation process
you can follow

Every HandKind project follows the same structure — not every project includes every step below (a bathroom refresh doesn't need engineering; an addition does), but the sequence and communication stay consistent.

01

Project review

We review your submission and confirm the project is a good fit before booking a site visit.

02

Site consultation

We walk your space, take measurements, and talk through your goals — no charge, no obligation.

03

Scope & estimate

A detailed, line-item estimate — no vague allowances, no numbers hidden behind "TBD." You'll know exactly what you're paying for before you decide anything.

04

Selections, permits & engineering

Selections, drawings and required permits are co-ordinated before anything is scheduled. For additions and structural work, this stage includes engineering and municipal approvals — handled directly, not left for you to chase.

05

Scheduling & pre-construction

Trades are booked in sequence and site logistics are confirmed before demolition starts, so the project doesn't stall waiting on a delivery or a missed booking.

06

Construction & communication

Scheduled trades, daily accountability, and regular progress updates through to completion. You always know who is responsible and where the project stands.

07

Quality review & handover

Final walkthrough, punch list cleared, and warranty documentation in hand before we consider the project done.

08

Post-project follow-up

The relationship doesn't end at handover — we're reachable for questions and warranty matters after the crew leaves.
